This is why we need to be sure to set aside time to unplug and truly connect with our children; not just being in the same space at the same time, but engaging with them and working together.
Spending dedicated time together as a family is so important. Taking time to focus exclusively on your kids lets them know that you’re there for them. That no matter what, you will always make time for them and support them.
This helps them to feel safe, secure, and cared for. Working together with your kids towards a common goal encourages communication. It lays the foundation for open conversations in the future. Working on a project together also fosters a sense of team spirit and camaraderie. It lets your kids know that you are a team and you can solve problems together.
