COVID-19, Update June 22: New Family Adventure & Physical Activity Platform

Dear Kids Obstacle Challenge Community, The novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) has brought new experiences, emotions, and challenges to us all. We hope you are all safe and well. Our team is encouraged by the innovative and supportive response we’ve see in many communities to keep our children happy, entertained, and active, as we together define the new normal. We wanted to let you know that, after reviewing various states’ stay-at-home Orders and re-opening plans, we have made the very difficult decision to cancel our 2020 event series. We do not believe we will be able to hold the events, since large events such as ours would not be allowed under the re-opening plans. While we are extremely disappointed that our in-person events cannot occur, we have some exciting news to share with you! Our team has been working tirelessly to develop an alternate experience that aligns with the current times and ensures the safety of your family and ours. We are very excited to announce that this summer we will be launching our new Family Adventure & Physical Activity Platform. The platform will include fun, adventure- and fitness-oriented programming, which – much like our Kids Obstacle Challenge events – will inspire and challenge your kids to get outside and move. The platform will consist of a mobile app with engaging challenges, activities, and virtual events, along with materials mailed to you monthly. Simple prompts will be communicated through the mobile app, and then the challenges and activities will be screen-free, which as you know is one of our core values. 2020 paid participants will receive their event kits and a complimentary, 3-month subscription to the platform. We will post more about the platform as we near the launch date.
