Over 37,000 gallons of mud and almost 40 miles of course later, another amazing season of Kids Obstacle Challenge is in the books! Our journey started down South, traveled up the East Coast, over to the Pacific Northwest, and finally down the West Coast! We’ve created countless, unforgettable memories from a windy day in Dallas, to a rainy DC, and a blazing hot Denver!
Not only did we double the number of cities from 2017 and add new, challenging obstacles, we had some pretty rad companies join us on our adventure! On course, CLIF Bar challenged us to traverse across their sponsored obstacle – CLIF Climb! At the Goodie Bag Station, CLIF provided CLIF Bars, Luna Bars, and Zbars to keep your Adventurer full and focused. To top it off, CLIF joined us in the Festival Area where kiddos snatched wrappers out of the air in a tornado tunnel for prizes!
We went to camp at Subaru’s Camp Ascent where we hit targets in the archery tent, colored camp scenes in the arts and crafts tent, and challenged families with the Pack & Play Challenge. We had a blast watching families race against one another to pack and unpack the Subaru Ascent. We have away $900 in REI gift cards to families from Denver to Sacramento. In addition to all these activities, we had all-new 2019 Subaru Ascent vehicles onsite for families to climb into and chat with product specialists.
Razor sponsored our champions in the first ever Razor Competitive Wave! We handed out over 100 Razor A5 Lux Scooters, Power Core 100 Electric Scooters and Razor X Cruiser Electric Skateboards! That’s a ton of sweet rides for our champs!
We met over 19,000 families, awarded over 300 Competitive Wave winners, visited 19 cities, and hosted 23 events. All in all, handing out over 24,000 medals to race finishers never got old! All of you who Braved Your Adventure should feel proud of all the obstacles you conquered. We hope to see you and your families next year for another epic family experience!
